TRS MPs Protest In Parliament For HC Bifurcation

TRS MP K Kavitha also urged Home Minister Rajnath Singh to get the High Court bifurcated and expedite the division of officials among AP and Telangana.
Hyderabad | 31st July 2015
TRS MP for Nizamabad and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, K Kavitha, today urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take a final call on the pending bifurcation of the Hyderabad High Court as well as the division of officials among the two Telugu states.

Kavitha on Friday called on the Home Minister in Delhi and requested him to sort out the issues immediately.

Talking to media persons later, she accused the Centre of neglecting the two crucial issues causing problems for Telangana and its people.

"We have staged a silent protest in Parliament for the speedy bifurcation of the High Court and the division of the officials," she stated.

She alleged that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu was coming in the way of solving these two main issues.

Though the Centre had sought his opinion on these issues, Naidu was keeping quiet, she alleged.

She demanded that the Union Cabinet request President Pranab Mukherjee to sort out the issue amicably.

Kavitha also expressed concern that the Telangana staff was suffering huge loss due to the stay of the AP staff in Hyderabad.

The Telangana government had relieved the electricity staff as per the norms and would not pay salaries, she said.

She also slammed Chandrababu Naidu for not retaining them.

Expressing doubts over the current inquiry into the Rishitheshwari case, she sought a CBI probe for justice.

She also said that her party had sought the intervention of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the safe release of the Indians abducted in Libya by IS terrorists.

Earlier, the TRS MPs staged a protest in Parliament for the speedy division of the high court and officials.
