TRS MPs To Boycott Parliament On Farmers' Issues
After staging protests in Parliament right from the beginning of the winter session, the TRS MPs today announced a boycott of the entire winter session.
TRS MPs today walked out of the sessions of both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.
The MPs also announced a boycott of the entire winter session of Parliament.
"We will keep protesting until the Centre addresses the issues of the farmers of Telangana. The Centre cannot go on ignoring our paddy and rice issues. The state government has procured the stocks from the farmers, but the Centre is yet to respond on procuring the same from us. The Centre has to also come up with a uniform farm policy to provide an MSP, lift stocks from all the states and repeal the cases on the protesting farmers. It should also give compensation to the bereaved family members of the farmers who died," they said.
The TRS MPs have been accusing the union government led by the BJP of resorting to politics over the demands of the state, and have been staging protests in Parliament right from the beginning of the winter session.
