TRS Protests Lead To Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha Adjournments
TRS MPs created a ruckus in Parliament during the first day of its winter session, on farmers' issues, paddy procurement, MSP and the state's water rows.

TRS MPs created a ruckus in the two houses of Parliament during the first day of its winter session, on farmers' issues, paddy procurement, MSP, the state's water rows and other related issues.
The MPs' stalling of the proceedings on the state's issues led to both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha being adjourned.
In the Lok Sabha, TRS MP Nama Nageshwar Rao started by shouting slogans against the Centre on paddy procurement and the other issues of the farmers the state. Rao also displayed placards on the state's demands regarding these issues. His colleagues too lent their full-throated support. This led to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla adjourning the house till 12 noon.
In the Rajya Sabha, TRS MP Banda Prakash stormed the well of the house disrupting the proceedings. Venkaiah Naidu at the chair directed the TRS Rajya Sabha leader K Keshava Rao to control his colleague, but Prakash made it to the podium and staged a protest. With this the Chairman adjourned the Rajya Sabha till 2 pm.
The MPs of the TRS also demanded that the Centre repeal the three farm laws of last year, declare a national farm policy, and stop the Gazette Notification on the AP-Telangana water row.
They also asked the Centre to come up with an Act fixing the MSP for farm produce in the country.
After the adjournments, the TRS MPs staged protests at the Mahatma Gandhi statue on the Parliament's premises. They shouted slogans in favour of farmers, seeking a national farm policy, MSPs and paddy procurement, as also for the addressing of the water disputes between the Telugu states.
