Hyderabad | 17th February 2020
In a shocking development, the bodies of three family members of the Peddapalle MLA and TRS leader D Manohar Reddy were fished out from a car that drowned in the Kakatiya canal of Karimnagar district under mysterious circumstances.

The victims have been identified as the younger sister of the MLA N Radha, her husband Satyanarayana Reddy and their daughter Vinaya Sri.

While Radha was working as a government teacher, her husband was a businessman. Their daughter was studying BDS in Nizamabad district.

The car was found lying at the bottom of the canal following the suspension of the release of water. The police identified the victims as the relatives of the MLA on the basis of the number of their car.

The Commissioner of Police of Karimnagar V B Kamalasan Reddy said that the police suspected that the car fell in the canal almost 20 days back. Given that no missing persons complaint had been lodged with the police about the victims, this has led to doubts over the nature of the deaths.

The CP has said that the police were yet to find out the reasons behind the non-lodging of a missing persons complaint for the victims.

Commenting on the issue, the MLA Manohar Reddy said that his sister's family frequently went on vacations, and so he was under the impression that they were on a vacation, especially since when he last called his sister's family 15 days back, all their phones were switched off.
