Hyderabad | 26th August 2025
The Telangana Assembly will convene for a special session starting August 30.
The agenda for the session will be finalized during a Cabinet meeting on August 29.
The State government is planning to hold the session for three to five days, with a focus on discussions around BC reservations and the report of the Justice P C Ghose Commission on the "irregularities" in the Kaleshwaram project.
Following the High Court's criticism last week about the P C Ghose Commission's report being kept in the public domain without it being presented in the Assembly first, the government had informed the court that the report would be tabled in the Assembly very soon, and that is being seen as an important reason for this special session.
As per reports, the opposition BRS is preparing to question the credibility of the Commission's findings, while the ruling Congress is gearing up to highlight discrepancies and alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project.
