BJP National Executive Member N Ramchander Rao on Friday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi's friendship with the MIM had turned Hyderabad into a terrorist hub.
Addressing a press conference, Rao alleged that the MIM was taking advantage of its friendship with the ruling party to shield criminals and encourage terrorism in the city.
The local police was unable to take action against the criminals in many cases as they were being patronised by the MIM, he alleged, adding that inaction against the members of the "Snake Gang" in Pahadishareef was proof to substantiate his allegation.
He demanded that the TRS severe its ties with the MIM in the interest of public safety and peace.
Ramchander Rao also accused the TRS Government of having failed to take up welfare measures since it had come to power 3 months ago.
He said that the TRS Government had turned all major issues like farm loan waiver, EAMCET exams and fee reimbursement among others into controversies.
He added that the TRS had also been trying to shift the blame onto the BJP-led NDA Government for its own failures.
Referring to a recent statement by Union Energy Minister Piyush Goel, he said that the Telangana Government had not made a single representation over its power issues since it had come to power.
He asked why the TRS Government was hesitant to approach the Centre on issues of public importance. (INN)
