TRS leaders B Suman, S Venugopala Chary and others today criticized the Congress for making "vague" comments on the irrigation projects in the State.
Speaking to mediapersons today, they said, "The UN, the Centre and other States have appreciated Telangana for its flagship programs, social welfare, irrigation projects and development. However, the envious Congress leaders are levelling false charges on the government."
The TRS leaders accused the Congress leaders of further intensifying their vilification campaign against the government after visiting Tummidihatti, due to their turning extremely insecure upon seeing the successful completion of the irrigation systems.
"The Congress is saddened by the speedy execution of the projects as it will boost the image of the government. The Congress governments failed to complete the irrigation projects and swindled huge funds instead, and attained notoriety for corruption. Unable to digest the growth of the State and all the welfare schemes now, the Congress is trying to defame the TRS regime," the TRS leaders said. "In spite of the continuous tirade of criticism, however, KCR has completed the Kaleshwaram project in a record time of three years. He has also promised to complete the Palamur - Ranga Reddy, Sitharama and other projects to turn the State green," they added.
They asked the Congress to look up the facts in future before making "baseless" allegations.
