Telangana Power Minister Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy today criticised the Congress leaders in the state for "constantly" criticising the TRS government.
Speaking at a press meet alongside Rythu Bandhu Samiti chief Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, he said, "The Congress is unable to digest the success of the developmental works and the irrigation projects undertaken by the TRS government. While even the Centre has appreciated our Mission Bhagiratha initiative, as the project successfully addressed the decades-long fluoride water contamination problem of the Nalgonda region, the Congress and its leaders cannot believe the fact that the current government has ensured the holistic development of Telangana."
"It is strange that the party, which is itself filled with corrupt leaders, has the audacity to level charges of irregularities and corruption against our government," the minister added.
He also expressed his displeasure at the Congress' "anti-CM" rhetoric, and said that under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the state government had been able to keep all its promises and had helped the people of the state realise their dreams.
The minister then asked the Congress leaders to "refrain from cheap propaganda", claiming that that would not help the party secure any electoral gains.
"The people are with the TRS government, and they support KCR's leadership wholeheartedly for bringing development to the state. The Congress' cheap attempts at maligning the regime will not get them anywhere," he said.
