The BJP's Medak Lok Sabha seat candidate Raghunandan Rao held a press meet in Medak today. Speaking on the occasion, he countered CM Revanth Reddy's comments against the BJP.
Accusing Revanth Reddy of launching a vicious campaign against the BJP, Rao said, "Revanth Reddy is spreading false propaganda that the BJP is conspiring to carry out a surgical strike to change the Constitution. He is also saying that if we get 400 MP seats, Modi will change the Constitution. It is being propagated that there will be a surgical strike on the BCs, SCs and STs in the country," he said.
"However, PM Modi has clearly said that there will be no change in the Constitution. Despite the BJP being in power for 10 years the Constitution has not been changed, and it will not be changed even if Modi comes to power again. There have been 106 constitutional amendments so far. The CM should remember that a majority of them happened during the Congress regime," he said.
"The word secularism did not even exist in the Constitution. Indira Gandhi included it in the Constitution at that time. Ambedkar was defeated by the Congress in the elections. The Congress still did not mind giving him the Bharat Ratna. CM Revanth's words are like the Devil quoting the Scriptures," he alleged.
Rao also lashed out at the BRS, and claimed that KCR and KTR were scared of Lord Rama. "Revanth came to power by telling 1,000 lies. KCR and Revanth Reddy are undivided twins in lies," he said.
