The Movie Artists Association (MAA) has suddenly realized that some top stars of the industry are not its members, and has started taking corrective measures.
MAA has issued notices to several sizzling queens who have enthralled Telugu audience for long. The list starts with Trisha and Genelia, and also has Tamanna, Samantha and Nithya Menen in it.
All artistes are required to be members of the association to avail themselves of its facilities, and MAA has suddenly realized that many actresses did not join them even though they have worked with some top actors. Since most actresses do not belong to Andhra Pradesh, the issue was not taken up seriously earlier.
The Association has now given them 15 days to enroll themselves with MAA, failing which they will not enjoy any privilege that the Association extends.
MAA's decision comes close on the heels of the recent controversy surrounding Kannada actress Nikita. (INN)
