Traffic Restrictions For President’s Visit To City

Preparations for President Pranab Mukherjee's visit to Hyderabad have started, with restrictions on movement of vehicular traffic.

City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Saturday informed that restrictions on movement of vehicular traffic would be imposed on certain routes, in the city, in connection with the visit of President of India Pranab Mukherjee, on November 4th and 5th.

On November 4 (Monday), the traffic will either be stopped or diverted on the routes from Begumpet Airport to Raj Bhavan, between 7.25pm to 8.10pm.

The diverted routes are - Airport - Airport ‘Y’ Jn - PNT Jn under flyover (Right turn) - Shyamlal Building - Hyderabad Public School Out Gate - Begumpet Flyover - Greenlands Jn - Rajiv Gandhi Statue (Monappa Island) (Left turn) - Jaya Gardens - Hotel Katriya - MMTS - Rajbhavan divider right turn - Raj Bhavan.

Similarly, traffic restrictions would be imposed on November 5 (Tuesday) between 9.10am to 10.10am from Raj Bhavan to SVP National Police Academy.

The diverted routes are - Rajbahvan - Divider Right turn - V.V Statue Jn - Shadan College - Nirankari - Old PS Saifabad - Lakadikapool new bridge - Ayodya - PTI - Mahaveer Hospital - Masabtank Flyover - NMDC - Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital - P.V.N.R express highway - Aramghar - National Police Academy.

Likewise, the restrictions will be imposed from SVP National Police Academy to Begumpet Airport from 12.20pm to 1.15pm.

The diverted routes are - National Police Academy - Aramghar - P.V.N.R express highway - Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital - NMDC - Masabtank flyover - Mahaveer Hospital - PTI - Ayodhya (Left turn) - Nirankari - Shadan College - V.V.Statue Jn - Rajbhavan - MMTS - Yashoda Hospital - Monappa Island (Right turn) - C.M’s Camp office - Greenlands flyover - HPS out gate - Shyamlal Building - Shoppers Stop - PNT Jn (Left turn) - Airport ‘Y’ Jn. - Begumpet Airport.

The Commissioner has requested all citizens to take alternate routes to their destinations, and to avoid the above routes during the specified timings and co-operate with the Traffic Police during the period of traffic diversion. (INN)
