Left Asks Govt. To Stop Exploitation

The centre and the state governments should stop the exploitation of workers and take steps for their benefit, says the Left.
Hyderabad | 28th February 2012
The Left parties, on Tuesday, stated that the nation-wide strike of employees in protest against the "anti-worker" and "anti-people" policies being pursued by the state and central governments had received a good response in Andhra Pradesh from all sections of people.

Talking to media persons at the Assembly media point, CPI floor leader G Mallesh and CPI (Marxist) floor leader Julakanti Rangareddy said that the strike ought to open the eyes of both the centre and the state governments.

"At least now, both the centre and the state governments should stop the exploitation of workers and take steps for their benefit," they said.

They thanked all the employees' leaders for observing the bandh peacefully and in an organised manner.

Stating that about 5.5 lakh workers were currently working in the outsourcing of various departments in the state, they appealed to the government to take steps for their welfare on par with government staff. (INN)
