The two Left parties in the State, the CPI and the CPM, today said that CM K Chandrashekar Rao's BRS would lose the upcoming Assembly elections due to his decision to keep them away and contest the elections on his own.
CPI State secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao and CPM State secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram added that there would not be any loss for their own respective parties due to the decision of KCR.
Addressing a joint press meet after holding a meeting over the future action plan of the two parties, they said that they would oppose the policies of the ruling party.
Kunnamneni asked the CM what would have been the fate of the BRS if it had no support from the Left parties in the Munugodu by-election.
He also alleged that KCR had become closer to the BJP, and asked KCR, who had termed the BJP as a dangerous party for the country during the Munugodu by-election campaigning, when and where he got closer to the saffron party after that.
Thammineni said that KCR had declared the names of his party candidates in a unilateral manner in the seats sought by the Left parties. He added that the Left parties would work together in the upcoming elections.
