The roads leading to Tirupati and Tirumala are flooded with devotees due to holidays till October 2.
All the parking areas at Alipiri are chock a block with vehicles, and buses from Tamil Nadu are parked from Alipiri to the S V Veda University. Buses have been plying on both sides of the Alipiri road since Friday.
All the compartments in Vaikuntham Queue Complexes 1 and 2, and the Narayanagiri sheds, are full, and the queue lines are stretching for more than five kilometres beyond the Nandakam resthouse.
The TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the devotees with special focus on organised darsanam, anna prasadam, accommodation and other aspects to handle the rush. As per the instructions of EO A V Dharma Reddy, officials are on alert and monitoring the facilities being provided to the devotees. The TTD has been providing food, water, milk and buttermilk continuously to the devotees since Thursday. Some 2,500 Srivari sevaks are serving the devotees. Various departments are constantly monitoring the situation of the pilgrims and providing facilities to the waiting pilgrims.
The TTD has appealed to the devotees to plan pilgrimages keeping in mind the time of their scheduled darsanams. It will take seven hours for the devotees to get sarvadarsanam tickets, and the special entrance darsanam will take five hours. For devotees who do not have a token, it is taking around 48 hours for a darsanam of the Lord.
The rush of devotees is likely to continue for another three days.
