The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a ban political and hate speeches in Tirumala to "preserve its sanctity and spiritual tranquility".
In the much-revered Tirumala temple, which constantly resonates with chants of Govinda, some individuals and political leaders have recently been making political and hate-filled statements to the media after their "darsan" (glimpse of the idol) at the temple. These actions have disrupted the spiritual atmosphere in Tirumala.
In light of this, the TTD board has resolved to prohibit political and hate speeches in Tirumala.
The TTD urged everyone to respect and cooperate with this decision. It also warned that legal action would be taken against violators.
