The YSR Congress has "rejected" the Times Now survey report, stating that "its methodology is unscientific", and that "the channel has a history of erring badly".
Party leaders Konathala Ramakrishnudu and Mysoora Reddy spoke to the press in this regard.
"The psephologists of this channel have erred badly earlier, and their samples are not scientific. YSR Congress will win between 25 and 30 seats in the next Lok Sabha elections, and we do not agree with the figures Times Now has given," M V Mysoora Reddy said.
"In the future, regional parties will play a vital role in national politics," he said.
Times Now had predicted that YSRCP would win 12 seats, and that the TDP and the TRS would win nine each.
Konathala, on the other hand, recalled the channel's survey in 2009, in which it had predicted that the Congress would win 15 seats and the grand alliance 22.
"The results were otherwise. Congress won 33 seats, while the Grand Alliance could win only five seats," he said.
"This shows the accuracy of the channel's survey," he said.
He added, "We can prove our strength if elections are held immediately." (INN)
