The state cabinet approved a series of proposals today.
The land for the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has been ratified. Over 9 acres of government land was allotted to the institute in Gopannapally, Serilingampally, in Ranga Reddy district.
Similarly in the Chittoor district in Tirupati Urban mandal, 217 square yards was alloted to retired government staff. The land was also meant for constructing old age homes.
Meanwhile, the state Cabinet also allowed e-trading when it met at the Secretariat on Monday. With an amendment to the AP Markets Act (Agriculture, Cattle Wealth) Section 2 and 7, issue of licenses for e-trading has been approved, which will facilitate e-trading with immediate effect.
Similarly, Section 5B of the AP Land Rights and Pattadar Pass Books of 1971 has been amended. Related to land reforms, this section was amended in line with the Koneru Ranga Rao Committee recommendations. This will enable officers of the rank of RDO, who are now empowered to check the passbooks and accept complaints on suo motu basis.
A proposal was approved to extend government facilities to the Tamale caste, who are engaged in services to the temples in the state.
The Cabinet also approved the proposal to fill up 15 posts – 7 Assistant Geologists, 6 Forest Officers, one Sub-Registrar and one Assistant Engineer - with an additional burden of Rs 55.78 lakh.
It also approved for the current financial year, an order for government bonds to garner as much as Rs. 200 crore in 10 years without insisting on guarantee commission. The state will provide the necessary guarantee. The bond flows will be effective based on the response from the account holders of the government.
Proposals to mobilise Rs. 150 crore, by the APCOB for the sugar factories operating under the cooperative sector, have been approved.
Rs. 35 crore for Sri Venkateshwara Cooperative Sugar Factory, Renigunta, Rs. 25 crore for Chittoor Cooperative Sugar Factory, Rs. 25 crore for Sri Vijayarama Gajapathi Cooperative Sugar Factory,
Vijayanagaram district, Rs. 25 crore for Kovvuru Cooperative Sugar Factory in Nellore District, Rs. 30 crore for Thandava Cooperative Sugar Factory in Vishakapatnam District and Rs. 15 crore for V V Ramana Cooperative Sugar Factory located in Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam district were also approved.
