Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu today said that Israel was willing to provide technical expertise for the Musi river rejuvenation project.
Speaking after a meeting with Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar at the Secretariat, Babu conveyed his gratitude to Azar, and said that Israel's keen interest in fostering mutual cooperation between the two nations was heartening.
Recognizing Israel's global leadership in AI and cybersecurity, Babu urged collaboration in these domains to benefit Telangana. He also sought Israel's support in defense, aerospace, agriculture, water management, advanced technologies and industrial development, and added that the State's newly established Young India Skill University was equipped to supply skilled human resources for any industries Israel might invest in within the State.
Highlighting ongoing initiatives, Babu informed the ambassador about the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence city spanning 200 acres. He also said that with Israel's support in innovation and industrial setups, Telangana could emerge as a global hub, exporting products to countries worldwide.
Responding positively to the minister's requests, Azar proposed collaboration between the two countries in infrastructure development, a suggestion the minister warmly welcomed. Azar also extended an invitation to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Sridhar Babu to visit Israel.
The meeting was attended by President of the Indo-Israel Chamber of Commerce Ken Uday Kumar, Director of the chamber Dr Radhakrishna, CM's Special Secretary Ajit Reddy and IT Advisor Sai Krishna.
