Thousands Of Ganesh Idols Set For Immersion On 5th
The final Ganesh idol immersion procession will start on Tuesday from various parts of the twin cities to the Hussain Sagar lake and other places.

The final Ganesh idol immersion procession will start on Tuesday from various parts of the twin cities to the Hussain Sagar lake and other places.
On the occasion, thousands of Ganesh idols of Hyderabad, Medak, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts are expected to be immersed in the Hussain Sagar.
The places where the Ganesh idols will be immersed are: the tail-end water body of the Hussain Sagar lake opposite the Deccan Continental hotel, Rajanna Bowli, the Miralam tank, Errakunta, the Shaikpet tank, the Saroornagar tank, the Safilguda/Malkajgiri tank and the Hashmathpet tank. Over 10 to 15 lakh people are expected to participate in the final procession.
Information has been given to the police about 12,262 idols, and it is expected that several others have been installed, too. Of these, 50% to 60% have been already immersed, and more than 6,000 will be immersed during the last two days.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who is in charge of the Hyderabad Ganesh idols immersion program, said that all arrangements had been made for a smooth and peaceful conduct of the Ganesh idols immersion.
The immersion festivities were scheduled to start on September 5 at 6 am, he told media persons at the Secretariat. All the roads leading to Tank Bund and NTR Marg were illuminated with bright lights, 800 surveillance cameras had been set up, some 50 cranes were in place at the Hussain Sagar and other lakes, and 25,000 police personnel and officials deployed, he said.
A control room was set up at Sardar Mahal in Old City for the coordination for the immersion. Some 30 lakh water sachets were being arranged, he said.
