Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Tuesday announced that a third phase of counseling was not required for admissions into engineering colleges in the State.
Talking to reporters in his chambers at the Secretariat, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the admission process had been completed during the second phase of counseling wherein admissions were given to eligible candidates on the spot. He also disclosed that the candidates who had gotten admissions through spot counseling under the convener quota would also get the benefits of fee reimbursement.
Rajanarasimha announced that the task force constituted by the state government would continue its drive to inspect the facilities and infrastructure in engineering colleges. Stating that the government was all for imparting quality education, he said that there were several colleges in the state that lacked proper infrastructure. He said the task force's drive would help improve infrastructure and other facilities in all engineering colleges in the state. (INN)
