Engineering Colleges Should Focus On Core Disciplines Too: CM
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy today told the managements of engineering colleges that their institutions should not become factories for generating unemployable youth.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today told the managements of engineering colleges that their institutions should not become factories for generating unemployable youth.
He said that the colleges should strive hard to provide employment and build the country's future, and that the State government was ready to extend all possible help to the institutions.
Speaking at an interactive program named Quality Engineering Education in Telangana held at the JNTUH campus, the CM suggested that the engineering colleges not confine themselves to only creating jobs but also produce intellectuals for the country.
"And apart from computer science, the colleges should promote other bramches like civil and mechanical engineering," Reddy said.
"There is no need to worry about the release of fee reimbursement funds. Despite facing financial constraints and other problems, the State government is addressing every issue. We have adopted a three-pronged strategy for fee reimbursement, and will put in all efforts to ensure the timely payment of fee reimbursement dues from this academic year," the CM said.
