Republic Day was celebrated grandly at the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) office today.
The TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham received a guard of honour and unfurled the national flag in the presence of Commission members Amir Ullah Khan, Prof Narri Yadaiah, Laxmikanth Rathod, Secretary M Haritha, and other officers and staff.
Addressing the gathering, Venkatesham described 2026 as a significant year for the Commission, with several reforms and initiatives planned. He announced that from 2026, all recruitment processes would be completed within fixed timelines - single-stage examinations within three months and multi-stage examinations within six.
He said that some recruitments in the past took several years to conclude, but that all pending recruitment processes had been completed, and hereon processes would stick to the new timelines.
He also mentioned that the TGPSC had created a comprehensive database of resource persons, making it the first Public Service Commission in the country to do so. He added that the newly recruited employees of TGPSC from Group-III services would be provided structured training, and urged all staff to discharge their duties with responsibility and dedication.
