Selected Group I Candidate Also Moves HC Bench

The ongoing controversy over the Telangana Group I recruitment has taken a new turn, with a selected candidate also moving the High Court division bench hearing the State government's appeal.

Following the single bench order cancelling the March 10, 2025, results, a candidate who was selected for a Group I post has approached the division bench, claiming that his appointment was legal and should not be overturned.

For the uninitiated, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has also appealed the single bench verdict, claiming that its arguments were not fully considered.

With appeals from both the selected candidate and the TGPSC, the division bench's upcoming verdict is eagerly awaited. Legal experts say all appointments are likely to remain on hold until the matter is finally resolved.
