Tension In Vikarabad: Police Detain Leaders
The Vikarabad police arrested former BRS ministers Satyavati Rathod and Sabita Indra Reddy en route to visit students affected by food poisoning.

Former BRS ministers Satyavathi Rathod and Sabitha Indra Reddy who attempted to visit the students affected in a food poisoning incident on December 10 at the Saipur Tribal Welfare Girls Hostel in the Tandur town, Vikarabad, were stopped by the police in Vikarabad today and denied permission to meet them.
A large number of BRS cadres gathered in support of their leaders, staging a protest near the Marri Chenna Reddy statue. The protest led to the arrest of the former ministers, who were subsequently taken to Hyderabad in a police vehicle.
Tension prevailed in the area during their arrest.
Speaking to the media, the former ministers expressed concerns over the well-being of the students, and accused the officials of downplaying the incident by claiming that only one or two students fell ill.
They also criticized the administration, calling it a demonic regime, and accused the district Collector of lying about the severity of the situation.
They demanded that all the affected students be immediately shifted to hospitals and provided with better medical treatment.
