Tension In Miryalguda Over Removal Of KTR Flexes
There was some friction in Miryalaguda of Nalgonda district over the erection of flexes in the town on the occasion of minister K T Rama Rao's visit today.
There was some friction in Miryalaguda of Nalgonda district with regard to the erection of flexes in the town on the occasion of IT Minister K T Rama Rao's visit on April 5.
Though the Miryalaguda municipality banned flexes one-and-a-half years back, local MLA N Bhaskar Rao erected several huge flexes across the town on the occasion of KTR's tour. Other TRS leaders including Alugubelli Amarender Reddy and his followers too erected flexes across the town.
Since the ban was in force, Municipal Commissioner Sathyababu directed his staff to remove the flexes immediately. The municipal personnel plunged into action and took up the removal of the flexes since the early morning on Thursday. When the staff removed the flexes erected by Alugubelli's followers at the martyrs' statue in the town, Alugubelli's followers entered into an argument with the staff leading to tension for some time. The police rushed to the spot and took five TRS activists, followers of ALugubelli Amarender Reddy, into custody and shifted them to a police station.
