Telangana Deputy CM Mahmood Ali has alleged that the BJP was against the Muslims, but the State government was committed to implementing 12 per cent reservation for the community.
Telangana Revenue Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali today alleged that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was adopting anti-Muslim policies, but said that the State government was committed to implementing 12% reservation for the community.
Mahmood Ali asserted that the Telangana government would take up the 12% reservation issue with the Centre soon. The State government had constituted the Sudheer Committee which had completed its study on the minority reservation issue, he said. "We are expecting the report soon, and will take up the issue with the Centre."
The Deputy Chief Minister also announced that the State government would come up with a new revenue policy, for which the government was holding talks with experts and top-level officials. The talks related to 12 issues to strengthen the department, he said.
At the same time, he warned of severe measures and penalties against RDOs and MROs if they failed to discharge their duties diligently and meet the people's expectations.
