A month after its creation, Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy today wrote a letter addressed to the President of India alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao violated Constitution by fragmenting the districts and mandals of Telangana unscientifically for political mileage, and urged the President to reshuffle the new districts.
In the letter, Reddy alleged that KCR created new districts and mandals to eliminate competition in constituencies that did not come under the TRS. He urged the President to inquire into the process and pull up the Chief Minister over it. He pointed out that the delimitation process was not carried out as per AP Bifurcation Act, 2014, and urged him to interfere and reshuffle the process as well as the reservation of Assembly constituencies in the State on the basis of administrative units, as were existing on the appointed day.
