Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy today alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was increasing the total count of new districts only to gain votes, and said that his Party would approach Governor E S L Narasimham to apprise him of KCR's "unconstitutional" and "unscientific" method of delimiting the districts.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Reddy slammed the State government for not considering separate districts for Adivasis and merging their lands, which came under schedule-5, into other mandals, and encroaching upon the rights of Girijans, he said.
He suggested that the Governor should give his consent on the ordinance related to the creation of new districts only after consulting with legal experts. He warned that if the Governor failed to do so, his Party would approach the President of India.
Welcoming the CPM's upcoming Maha Padayatra in the State, Revanth Reddy said that his Party would discuss on extending cooperation to the CPM at a regional level.
