On Monday, a railway court in Secunderabad issued non-bailable warrants against TDP and TRS MLAs as they had not responded to the summons that had been issued to them, in connection with a case during the 'Rail Roko' agitation.
Separate cases were filed against TDP and TRS MLAs when they disrupted rail traffic during the 'Rail Roko' agitation in 2011. The MLAs, including Nagam Janardhan Reddy (who was, then, with the TDP), K Dayakar Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, T Harish Rao, K Taraka Rama Rao and Medak MP Vijayshanti, have been facing charges of having posed a threat to railway safety.
Since the political leaders had failed to respond to the summons issued earlier, the court issued NBWs against them on Monday. (INN)
