Retd Judge For Presidential Order
B S Raikote, a retired judge of the AP High Court, will review grievances related to the implementation of the Presidential Order.

The state government, on Friday, appointed B S Raikote, a retired judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, to head the one-man commission to review the grievances related to the implementation of a Presidential Order related to Telangana.
The appointment of a commission follows an agreement reached between the Telangana Joint Action Committees of Employees, Teachers and Workers, and the government of Andhra Pradesh, on 24 October 2011.
Employees who were Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Officers of different associations in the Telangana region had gone on strike from 13 September 2011.
The said commission will examine and consider the representations received from the employees' associations, and employees and government agencies, and make appropriate recommendations to the government.
The commission will suggest modifications in the existing rules and Government Orders relating to the implementation of the Presidential Order. It will also suggest feasible policy-level interventions for making the implementation of Presidential Order more effective and transparent.
Born on 7-10-1937, Justice Raikote did his MA, LLM, from Karnataka University, Dharwar.
He joined the Bar in 1965, and shifted practice to the High Court of Karnataka in 1968.
He served as an Honorary Law Professor in Jagadguru Renukacharya College of Law in Bangalore, from 1968 to 1991.
Later, he was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Karnataka in February 1994, and transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in March 1994. (INN)
