The Commission has concluded its investigation and is currently finalising the report for submission.
The Commission examined the design, construction, quality and maintenance of the Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages, interviewing engineers, senior officials and others on various technical, financial and procedural matters.
Affidavits were collected and cross-examinations were conducted based on the information provided.
The Commission also reviewed reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), the Vigilance Department and the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA), and is said to have incorporated all relevant factors into its assessment.
Initially, the Commission considered summoning leaders from the previous government, including former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and former ministers Harish Rao and Etala Rajender, for questioning. However, it is now reported that the Commission has decided not to summon them, considering the current circumstances.
