ECI Gives Permission For Release Of DA To Employees

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has given permission for Dearness Allowance (DA) to be released to Telangana's government employees.

Three DAs are pending for the employees, and the State government had appealed to the ECI to give permission to release one.

Consultations were held between the State government and the ECI in this regard. The ECI asked the State government why the payment of DAs had been delayed and why it wanted to give the DA now. The ECI was apparently satisfied with the answer.

Employees unions had also sent requests to the ECI through the Chief Electoral Officer to allow the release of the DA. Taking all the requests into consideration, the ECI finally gave its nod to release the DA to employees.
