Telangana Congress leader Yadav spoke to the media at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) office on Monday, and lashed out at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu.
He stated that it was the politicos from the Andhra region who were obstructing the formation of the Telangana state. He appealed to Andhra leaders to stop themselves from falling for the tricks of "cheats" like Naidu.
The Congress leader asked the politicos to not be a part of Naidu's conspiracy to cheat the people of Telangana of their rights.
He also questioned the rationale behind Naidu repeatedly demanding that the Congress make its stand on the Telangana issue clear when his party had already publicized their take on the bifurcation of the state.
Yadav criticized the TDP chief for not declaring a pro-Telangana stance at the 3-day Mahanadu held in Gandipet. He stated that the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu would be regarded as criminals by the people of the Telangana region for not supporting their cause.
Yadav is not alone in condemning the TDP for not making a concrete statement about the Telangana issue at the Mahanadu. Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) and suspended TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy had also critized Chandrababu over the issue.
Nagam had also condemned the TDP for not discussing the controversial Chapter 8 of the Sri Krishna Committee report at the Mahanadu.
