Police File FIR In "Cash For MLAs" Scam
The Moinabad police have booked a criminal case in the sensational "cash for MLAs" scam on the basis of a complaint filed by TRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy.

The Moinabad police have booked a criminal case in the sensational "cash for MLAs" scam on the basis of a complaint filed by TRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy.
In his complaint, Reddy told the police that a person by name Satish Sharma alias Ramachandra Bharathi Swami had offered him Rs 100 crore to join the BJP.
He said that Sharma and another person by name Simhayajulu had come to his farmhouse with the mediation of one Nandu. He said that the trio had offered him Rs 100 crore if he joined the BJP after quitting the TRS, and that the trio had also told him that they would protect him from any ED and CBI cases.
He also told the police that he was offered union government civil contracts and higher posts in the union government.
He said that of the Rs 100 crore offered, Rs 50 crore was promised as advance. He was also told that each MLA who joined the BJP along with him would get Rs 100 crore, too.
The police booked a criminal case under Section 120 (B) and Section 171 of the IPC. The accused were taken to the Shamshabad Rural police station.
The accused had already been arrested by the police on Wednesday night. The police had also reportedly secretly recorded the audio and video conversations of the accused with the four TRS MLAs by laying a trap.
The trio are Satish Sharma V K (33), a priest at Faridabad; D Simhayaji (45), peethadipathi of the Srimanatha Raja Peetham, Tirupati; and Nandakumar (48), owner of Deccan Pride Hotel in Hyderabad.
