Continuing their demand for the introduction of a bill on Telangana, Secretariat employees continued their non-cooperation agitation on Monday.
The employees staged demonstrations and abstained from their duties.
The officers and staff belonging to Telangana region continued their non-cooperation and protested against the government's adamant attitude. The agitating staff also raised slogans in favour of a separate Telangana.
The Secretariat staff have been actively participating in the non-cooperation agitation since the day it was launched on February 17th. They have been taking out rallies inside the premises on every working day after signing the attendance register.
According to some estimates, the non-cooperation agitation was costing the government Rs. 800 crores per day in revenue collection from Telangana region.
There have been fears expressed that if the situation continues, the state will be facing a financial emergency soon.
