Telangana Jagruti president K Kavita, on Sunday, accused the Congress party of subjecting the people of Telangana to mental torture by unleashing a series of confusing statements regarding the Telangana statehood issue.
Talking to reporters, Kavita said that the Congress leaders have been issuing confusing statements on the statehood issue for the past two months. She said that a long debate was initiated in the name of the Congress Core Committee meeting and people of the region were forcibly involved with the event as they were waiting for a positive response.
"However, they were given a major shock after the CCC
deferred the decision and now a similar act was being played with the regard to the meeting of the Congress Working Committee," said Kavita.
Kavita alleged that while Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was selectively leaking information against the Telangana region, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana was frequently changing his stand on the issue.
She said that the Congress can not be trusted on the Telangana issue. (INN)
