Telangana Praja Front President Balladeer Gaddar, ex-Maoist Vimlakka and Telangana Political Joint Actions Committee Convernor Kodandaram visited the relay hunger strike camp of Muslim advocates from the Telangana region on Thursday.
The relay hunger strike entered its third day at the at Nampally court premises on Thursday.
The top Telangana protagonists exhorted the lawyers to follow the example of their fasting counterparts and organize hunger strikes in villages across the region to build pressure on the centre to introduce a bill on Telangana in the budget session of the Parliament.
Taking to media persons, Gaddar said that the support to the Telangana agitation by the legal community was galvanizing the protestors to the extent that from Telangana to Jantar Mantar, there were calls for a separate state everywhere.
Political Joint Action Committee Convener Professor Kodandaram also requested the advocates to hold relay hunger strike at the village level.
Telangana Cultural President and eminent singer, Vimlakka, sang folk songs of the region at the camp, and pledged her support to the lawyers’ fast.
