Ministers from the Telangana region, on Thursday, appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for permission for the Telangana March.
Talking to media persons after emerging from a meeting at Major & Medium Irrigation minister Sudarshan Reddy's residence, Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy said that the ministers had taken a unanimous decision to give the Telangana March permission.
He said that the ministers would prevail upon the Chief Minister to give his nod for the march. He added that the ministers would announce their final decision after meeting the Chief Minister on Friday.
Appealing to Telangana leaders not to worry about the march, he said that the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, leaders from various parties, and journalist unions had appealed to the ministers to mount pressure on the government for its approval for the march.
Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, minister for Major and Medium Irrigation P Sudarshan Reddy, Information and Public Relations minister D K Aruna, Major Industries minister Dr. J Geetha Reddy, minister for Child Welfare V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, minister for Housing N Uttam Kumar Reddy and minister for BC Welfare Basavaraj Saraiah were present in the meeting.
