With Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao promising to address their problems and agreeing to some of their demands, the junior doctors of the state have decided not to go ahead with their proposed strike from Friday.
The minister held talks with the TJUDA and conceded to some of their main demands. He also promised to resolve any other issues of the junior doctors.
The junior doctors opposed the decision to offer reservations for government doctors in medical and PG diploma seats.
The minister agreed to that, and appealed to them to withdraw the strike.
The doctors then announced that they were cancelling their proposed strike. They claimed that the minister had promised to resolve their issues.
