Describing the Telangana issue as 'complicated', Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said that the government was trying to evolve a consensus on solving it.
The Prime Minister said that the 'complicated' issue must be solved and consensus among the political parties is the way forward on this. This consensus will be possible through consensus, Dr. Manmohan Singh said.
He reminded that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has already held a meeting with all political parties on the issue and a report has already been drawn up. The next obvious step is consultations so that the process can be pursued to its logical conclusion, the Prime Minister said.
Dr. Manmohan Singh was interacting with the editors of the electronic media in the national capital where he said that the Centre will cross the 'bridge' when the question of bifurcating Andhra Pradesh comes.
