Girls Outperform Boys In Telangana Inter Exams

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari today released the results of the Intermediate first and second year examinations at the office of the Board of Intermediate Education at Nampally.
As usual, girl students outperformed the boys in both the first and second year examinations.
While the pass percentage in the first year examinations was 57, it was 66.45 in the second year examinations.
Of the 4,75,874 students who appeared for the first year examinations, 2,70,738 passed, making the pass percentage 6% higher than that of the previous year.
In the second year examinations, of the 4,14,213 students who appeared, 2,75,273 students passed, making the pass percentage 3% more than that of the previous year.
Medchal (Malkajgiri) district topped in the first year results, followed by Ranga Reddy and Mahabubabad districts.
In the second year results, Medchal again ranked first, Ranga Reddy was again second - Nirmal, Gadwal and Mahabubabad were at the bottom.
The Intermediate examinations were held from March 1 to 19.
The results will be available on multiple websites, including bietelangana.cgg.gov. The principals of the junior colleges can view their college results from the site bie.telangana.cgg.gov.in.
