The Telangana High Court on Tuesday directed the Chief Secretary of the state Somesh Kumar to reappear before it on August 13.
It also directed the Principal Secretaries of the municipal administration and urban development department and the health department to appear on the same date along with the CS.
The court quizzed the CS on the low testing for the coronavirus in Telangana, and was reportedly dissatisfied with the answers. It then asked the government to strictly follow the ICMR and the WHO guidelines to contain the spread of the coronavirus, and to release the coronavirus health bulletin without any mistakes.
It also asked the state government to regularly update the print and electronic media about the Covid-19 status.
The CS told the court that he would implement all the directions issued by it in the past.
