Hyderabad | 4th February 2022
The Telangana High Court today passed interim orders staying mining by the Deccan Cements company in Ravipahad village under Palakeedu mandal.

The court also defended the order of the National Green Tribunal to the mining department to impose and collect a Rs 600 crore penalty from the company for illegal mining in Mines II and III.

For the uninitiated, the alleged illegal activities by Deccan Cements came to a halt after a complaint lodged by a common man.
