The ACB officials today interrogated BRS working president K T Rama Rao for 6.5 hours in the Formula E race payments case.
The investigating officer in the case ACB DSP Majeed Khan asked KTR a reported 80 questions related to the case.
The interrogation was supervised by the ACB Joint Director Rithi Raj. KTR's lawyer Ramachandra Rao was allowed to observe the proceedings from a different room, where he could only see and not hear the exchanges.
Addressing the media after the interrogation, KTR said, "I have fully cooperated with the ACB investigator. I answered the questions asked by them as per my understanding."
He also said that he would go and cooperate with the officers whenever and however many times he were to be called for interrogation.
KTR once again termed the case as completely absurd. "One question was asked in 40 different ways. There is nothing new left to ask. I asked them where the corruption took place," he said.
Meanwhile, KTR suffered a setback in the Supreme Court. The court declined an urgent hearing for KTR's petition seeking quashing of the FIR registered by the ACB in the Formula E race case.
KTR had filed a petition in the apex court on Tuesday (January 7) evening challenging the Telangana High Court's verdict refusing to quash the FIR, and sought an immediate hearing. The court however said that it would hear the petition on January 15, and that there was no need for an urgent hearing.
