Refusing to pass any interim order without knowing the stand of the state government on the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) issue, a division bench of the Telangana High Court on Thursday issued notices to the government and other authorities and asked them to file a counter-affidavit in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging GO 131 issued on August 31 by the state government for the regularization of unapproved and illegal layouts under the Land Regularization Scheme (LRS) in both the rural and the urban areas in the state.
The PIL was filed by the city-based Forum for Good Governance.
The bench later posted the matter to October 8 for further hearing.
