The Telangana Thalli statue controversy continues to heat up in the State.
Intellectuals are raising their voices against the Congress government for creating the statue without consulting anybody.
Eminent writer Juluri Gauri Shankar today approached the High Court on the installation of the new statue. He urged the HC to stop the unveiling of the statue on December 9.
He claimed that the people of Telangana, intellectuals, writers, poets and artists were strongly opposing the changes in the statue of Telangana Thalli, and that the Telangana society considered the changes as an attack on the existence of Telangana.
He claimed that the image of the existing statue was finalised in the presence of the then CM of the State K Chandrashekar Rao and intellectuals.
