A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed against former minister and incumbent MLA of the Dornakal Assembly constituency, Dharamsoth Redya Naik, a TRS leader, in the Hyderabad High Court.

The petitioner, a D S Venkanna, a native of Manchya thanda from Uggampally village under Chinna Gudur mandal of Mahabubabad district, alleged that Naik had demolished a school located before his house and used it for parking.

He also alleged that the MLA had also encroached upon three acres of government land meant for construction of Indiramma houses.

The MLA had also got Indiramma houses allotted to him by changing the names of his wife and sons, Venkanna claimed.

The High Court heard the case and issued notices to the home department on the issue. It directed the State government to file a report on the issue in the next four weeks.
