The Telangana High Court on Saturday ordered the cancellation of the Group 1 prelims conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on June 11, and asked the State government to conduct the exams afresh again.
A petition was filed in the court claiming that the biometrics of the candidates were not taken, and that the OMR sheets did not have the hall ticket numbers and photographs of candidates. The court allowed the petition and set aside the exam.
More than 2.32 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam for the recruitment for 503 posts.
There is a lot of excitement about what decision the TSPSC is going to take now. It is learnt that the TSPSC officials are discussing with legal experts the verdict of the High Court and the plan of action.
