HC Asks Government To Pay Compensation To Farmers

The Telangana High Court asked the state government to pay compensation to the farmers who had incurred losses due to the untimely rains of last year.

The Telangana High Court today asked the state government to pay compensation to the farmers who had incurred losses due to the untimely rains of last year.

It issued these orders while dealing with a petition filed by the Rythu Swarajya Vedika organization.

The counsel for the petitioner told the HC that the farmers had sustained huge losses due to the heavy rains of the last year in the months of September and October.

He also told the HC that some farmers had even committed suicides.

After hearing the arguments, the HC asked the state government to pay the compensation to the farmers.
