The Telangana High Court today expressed displeasure that the union and the state governments had failed to release flood relief funds for the farmers of the state, and directed that the funds be released immediately.
Speaking while addressing a petition on the issue, the High Court made some serious observations.
The union and the state governments were ignoring the issue of releasing the funds for flood relief, the High Court said, and sought to know the reasons for the delay in filing counters on the same.
The bench also asked the governments to expedite the process and release the funds soon.
The court also pulled up the AG for his absence, and instructed him to attend the next hearing on the case.
The court then postponed the case to September 8 for the next hearing.
